The year is 2067. Life on Earth is a mess thanks to global warming and the oil wars that devastated the environment, government, and the economy. But some things never change. Like the existence of bad guys, and the cops who hunt them down.
Rachel Jones is a third generation police detective who knows her mind, can take care of herself, and doesn’t take shit from anyone. But when she discovers the serial killer she’s hunting is undead, it opens her eyes to a whole new segment of the underworld. A segment that only comes to life in the dark of night. Reluctantly, she turns to one of the killer’s own kind for help, a vampire named River. But he makes it hard to focus on the job at hand. He weaves an erotic web around Rachel, enveloping her in a constant haze of sexual desire that leaves her wondering if her ally is the man of her dreams or the very killer she hunts.
