Week 01
We are starting out with with an easy week so we can get into the swing of things. We’ve chosen the multi-author series Midnight Mating that just came out from Siren Publishing because it takes care of 3 authors at once – Joyee Flynn, Stormy Glenn and Gabrielle Evans. The 3 books are a combined total of 418 pages of various shifters having to claim a mate within 24 hours or lose everything.
Here is the info for week 1
Joyee Flynn – Squeak and a Roar
Stormy Glenn – Scales and a Tail
Gabrielle Evans – Fire and Ash
INTENSE METER
1 – Fluffy, feel good romance
2 – Light read but may include heavier topics
3 – More complex stories and characters requiring audience participation
4 – Love or Hate, usually with difficult themes

These 3 books truly did make me laugh! I did thoroughly enjoy reading them and cant wait for more to come.
I was particularly fond of the Stormy Glenn book. It was a great combination of romance and comedy, although I did want to slap the crap out of Mr. Dragon!

If it would make things easier for the readers, I would be willing to donate a free story or two for download during the week you’re reading me.

We actually have had a M/M book club for over a year and a half, and we all have decided to go to Gayromlit together so, Incoming 4 very excited readers!

This series turned out to be a lot cuter than I expected it to be. I was a little nervous about the mate in 24 hours clause, but it seems to be working out.
Scales and Tails was my favorite. No surprise since I’ve been a fan of Stormy Glenn for years. Loved the Dragon and Bunny match up. Their mating was the smoothest initially. The conflict was pretty intense and I really liked that it wasn’t a snap fix.
Joyee Flynn and Gabrielle Evans were perfect partners for this series as they both have similar writing styles to Glenn. I felt the conflicts in both of these stories were tied up a little too easily, but there was a lot of charm and humor in each to make up for it.
